Virtual Test Instructions

Thank you for registering for our TCFSC Virtual Test session.  We are excited to accept video test submissions compliant with USFSA TN261 and the Virtual Testing Video Recording Instructions to be judged.  Please read these 2 linked documents carefully as well as the following details.

SKATER/COACH Provided Video:  The skater/coach needs to procure the ice and to take a video where the test candidate is clearly identifiable in the video and free from other skaters interfering with the time.  You need to arrange for a videographer and an impartial proctor to be present and sign and certify the Performance Affidavit.  The video would need to be taken within 14 days of our submission deadline..

Video Requirements and Suggestions

  • Print and prepare a test form with the Name of Skater, Test Level, Test Discipline/Name and Track.
  • Have a second phone to show date and time stamp before the test begins.
  • Start video with phone in landscape mode and then focus in on the cover sheet and phone with the date and time and then show the phone time stamp..
  • Announce the skater, test and date and time.
  • Hand signal skater/music if needed to start
  • Keep the skater head to toe in the center of the screen and move (and hand zoom in) to follow the skater through their test.  Zoom to have the skater fill a good amount of the screen but remain in focus.

Please remember judges are volunteers and many are judging multiple test sessions and competitions, so your patience is appreciated as they review and judge your submissions.
